NO STUDENT WILL BE TURNED BACK IN THE FINLAND STUDENTS ROW – GOVERNOR BII

Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim has assured the parents of the students studying in Finland that his administration will ensure that no student will be returned home amid the deportation threat.

He said this when he hosted Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and his Turbo counterpart Janet Sitienei, who paid him a visit on a courtesy call on Monday at his County office.

Governor Bii also cautioned the parents against falling prey to unscrupulous agents in the future and rather deal with the County government which has currently taken up the matter at hand.

“We as leaders have the duty to scrutinize and go deeper into the matter and unearth what transpired”, Governor Bii said.

He further added that an alternative bank account has been opened where parents for clarity and transparency purpose are signatories.

Hon. Oscar Sudi said that those found culpable of the offence of malpractice during the exercise will face the full force of the law.

Hon. Sitienei too echoed and requested the county government that those learning online and have had their visas processed, be allowed to pursue their courses even as the investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Deputy Governor Eng. John Barorot will head the task force constituted to oversee the program.
