Trade, Industrialization, Tourism, Co-operatives and Enterprise Development

The County Executive Committee Member Eng. Martha Cheruto heads the Department with two Chief Officer Mr Geoffrey Tanui in charge of Trade, Industrialization and Tourism, and Mrs. Ruth Samoei who is responsible for Cooperatives and Enterprise Development. It is made up of Seven directorates which include;

  2. Licensing and Compliance
  3. Tourism and Wildlife
  4. Investment and Industrialization
  5. Cooperative Development
  6. Enterprise development
  7. Cooperative Audit and Risk Management

The department has Five Directors and their Deputies including:

  7. Irene Kapting’ei – Industrialization & Investment

The department has a high experienced team of workers who work hand in hand with the management to provide efficient services to the county residents across the wards. This is in the realization of the Governor’s agenda, pillar number four that seeks to provide among others, the conducive business environment to the business community, strengthening of cooperative societies and provision of access to credit to these entities for growth of business and the county’s economy.
