The Eldoret City Governor’s Cup Volleyball Tournament has kicked off at Hill School Grounds in Eldoret.

The County Government sponsored 60 teams (a men’s and a women’s team from each Ward) to compete at the tourney.

Speaking while officially launching the action, Chief Officer for Youth Affairs and Sports, Jelagat Tirop, said this is among many programs that Governor Jonathan Bii’s governnent is undertaking to empower youth and nurture sports talent.

Directors Henry Mukolwe (Sports and Talent Management), Peter Ruto (Youth Affairs), Sports Deputy Director Wilson Koros and a number of sports and youth officers, are watching the action. The tournament ends on Sunday, December 3rd, 2023.
