Governor Bii’s administration is working to ensure they deliver climate resilience actions to increase the resilience of communities to cope with the effects of climate change.
The County Climate Change Unit is currently developing the County Climate Institutional Support (CCIS) work plan and budget for 2023/2024.
Several actions have been identified including desilting of dams and embracing climate-smart programs to boost food security while at the same time helping the residents be resilient to the effects of climate change.
Leading the team is the Director of Environment and Climate Change Dr Charles Nyabayo and the Deputy Director Environment Philip Lagat .
