Uasin Gishu County is currently in the process of constructing an official residence for the Governor, aimed at curbing the ongoing expenditure on rent. The Director of Housing, Ms. Beatrice Menjo, confirmed that the project is set to be completed by June of this year.
The design of the residence is both spacious and modest, with a focus on durability to ensure it serves the county for many years to come.

The initiative is a strategic move to reduce long-term rental costs, allowing funds to be redirected into other essential development projects within the county.
The residence will also provide a permanent and secure home for the Governor, promoting efficiency in governance.
With construction progressing steadily, residents of Uasin Gishu are optimistic that the project will lead to financial savings and contribute positively to the county’s growth.
