MAKE YOURSELF IMPORTANT, RAISE YOUR BARS-CO TARUS

Chief Officer for Public Service Management Mr. Ambrose Tarus has called on all the attachees to work with diligence and grow their profession to the highest level.

This he said during an induction training at the County Hall.
” Being accepted to serve on the great County of Uasin Gishu is a privilege and being young, is a lifetime opportunity, discover yourself and know your strengths and align them to the direction of your professionalism, ” said Tarus.

The Chief Officer also urged them to know and understand the structure of the government, work hard, learn the right things, network and know as much as possible.

Human Resource Manager Mr. Josphat Rotich on his part took them through the structure of the government, guided by the 2010 constitution and the core values.

Mr. Rotich reiterated that the internship program will be enrolled in the next financial year and while on attachment, they should uphold the standards, integrity and professionalism.

“Make sure that you learn and know what all the sections under your department do,” he said.

Director of Human Resource, Nathan Korir, rallied the attaches to count themselves lucky for getting the opportunity and urged them to utilize it for the benefit of themselves and society.

“Be innovative, know the professional code of conduct and follow the legal framework, have values and principals and have a culture of continuous learning, said Korir.

Director of Branding and Public Relations, Faith Seroney, during her session, took them through communication and public relations and advised the attachees to build professional brands, create good images and understand their strengths.

“Be consistent in your work, learn how to create meaningful connections and work towards increasing your professional growth and do the online courses” she said.

Seroney called on the attachees to set goals for themselves to be genuine and come out competitively, “it gives you leverage,” she added.
