HEALTH CARE WORKERS CHALLENGED TO PRIORITIZE THOROUGH SCREENING OF STI’s

Clinical Services Chief Officer Dr. Joyce Sang has called on healthcare workers to prioritize thorough screening for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in order to effectively prevent their spread.

Speaking during the sensitization meeting on STIs and viral hepatitis B ,the Chief Officer emphasized the importance of early detection and prompt treatment to curb the transmission of these infections.

She highlighted the role of healthcare workers in providing accurate diagnoses and appropriate interventions to protect the community’s health.

“I want to encourage you to conduct comprehensive screening because it reflects a commitment to public health and the well-being of individuals affected by STIs,” said Dr. Sang.

The meeting was attended by County AID’s and STIs Cordinator Daniel Bett.
