The County Executive Committee Member for Water, Irrigation, Sanitation, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change Dr Abraham Serem has called for concerted efforts from all stakeholders and residents on matters of climate change mitigation adding that ownership of climate change programs is key when it comes to climate change.

This he said on Monday when he hosted officials from the Auditor General and Financing Locally Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) who paid a visit to assess the Climate Change Unit preparedness for the County Climate Resilience Investment grant (CCRI) and the county readiness to the implementation of the FLoCCA programs.

” Our Governor is keen to see that the program is well implemented to reach the grassroots and change livelihoods,” added CECM Serem.

According to Fred Makori, Deputy Director of Audit, the performance issues especially on the designs and implementation of the program are key to achieving results.
