COUNTY ENGAGES BUSINESS COMMUNITY ON IMPROVEMENT OF TOWN OUTLOOK

The County Government of Uasin Gishu leadership has been at the forefront in the call for reforms on the town’s facelift campaigns that has seen several buildings including the County’s Headquarters getting a face-lift as well.

While meeting the Tagore stage management team and the Eastleigh Fish Point business communities, Director Urban Development Mr. Jacktone Kiprop, accompanied by the Director Housing Ms. Beatrice Menjo and the Administrator Lands Mr. Sila Boit sought to have a one-on-one engagement with them on how best to achieve a beautiful, neat looking town soonest possible.

Mr. Kiprop advised the business community to improve their premises by repainting the walls and improving their frontages because those served as their offices where they attend to their clients.

Ms. Beatrice Menjo noted the need for the business community to prepare well to receive the expected over 10,000 participants expected to attend the devolution conference in August.

While meeting the Chair Muslim Community, Mr. Sila Boit noted that business is expected to boom around the period of August and hence the need to ensure that all the premises look beautiful to attract visitors.

The business communities in unison agreed to take up the task and do as advised.
