The County Government of Uasin Gishu in partnership with Deliverance Church on Friday conducted a free medical camp at Sinonin Dispensary in Soy Sub-County, attracting over 586 clients who benefited from a range of medical services.
The initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare to residents, particularly those facing barriers to accessing medical attention.
Speaking during the medical camp, Chief Officer for Promotive and Preventive Health Dr PaulWangwe expressed satisfaction with the overwhelming turnout of clients seeking medical services by highlighting that such initiatives have been made possible public-private partnerships.
“The exercise has seen an impressive number of clients in need of medical services, showcasing the demand for accessible healthcare within our community,” noted Dr. Wangwe.
The camp provided a variety of services, including nutritional support, orthopaedic care and gynecological consultations, therefore, reflecting the department’s commitment to prioritizing primary healthcare.
Dr. Wangwe emphasized that the medical camp is part of a broader strategy to address health issues faced by residents throughout the county.
“This is just a starting point; we will continue to roll out medical camps across all wards in Uasin Gishu to ensure that we meet the healthcare needs of our communities,” he stated.
Dr. Wangwe further reiterated Governor Dr Jonathan Bii’s administration’s dedication to establishing a robust healthcare system in Uasin Gishu County by ensuring that all healthcare facilities are well-stocked with sufficient medical supplies and medications.
