County Chief Officer for Administration and Devolved Units, Ambrose Tarus, has emphasized the importance of integrity and professionalism in public service. This he said as he addressed and welcomed new staff.
“You need to be instrumental in the smooth operation of this department, clear of any misconduct, stressing that running away from such actions preserves the integrity of both the department and the county government.”
Mr Tarus highlighted the importance of taking time to learn and relate well with others, both within and outside the workplace.
“You should continuously strive to add value to the county through dedication, creativity, and proactive efforts, every action we take should contribute to the growth of the county,” he said.
CO Tarus’ focus was on ensuring that with devolution, services would reach every corner of the grassroots, ensuring equitable development across the county.
As part of Governor Dr Jonathan Bii’s vision on harnessing personnel to spur devolution and getting services closer to the people, he encouraged the team to work towards positive changes that will reflect well on the government.
“Always work to give a good name to the government; avoid any incidences that may tarnish our work and reputation,” he advised.
Tarus acknowledged the privilege to serve in government, a sentiment shared by Director Administration Samwel Kiptoo.
CO Tarus emphasized the importance of upholding high standards and delivering exceptional service to the public, ensuring that devolution continues to work for the people at the grassroots level.
Directors Public Participation and Civic Education Dr. Shadrack Morogo,Cosmas Kerich(Inspectorate) Musa Mutai(Protocol) and Kiptanui Barno were among present.
