County Chief Officer of Administration and Devolved Units, Mr. Ambrose Tarus, convened a meeting with inspectorate officers on Wednesday to discuss strategies for enhancing service delivery across the county.
During the meeting, Mr. Tarus highlighted key areas of improvement, emphasizing ethical conduct, teamwork, and effective communication.

CO Tarus cautioned officers to avoid practices that could jeopardize their professional integrity and personal well-being, particularly stressing the dangers of corruption. “Corruption has led to a lot of failure in the county,” he stated, “and we cannot grow as a county if corruption remains an obstacle.” His remarks underscored the need for accountability and transparency as cornerstones for sustainable development within the county.
Mr. Tarus emphasized the importance of collaboration and open communication, describing these elements as essential for efficient operations and collective success. He advocated for a work environment that fosters respect, trust, and professional channels to resolve issues.

Director of Inspectorate, Cosmas Kerich, acknowledged the logistical challenges faced by county officers, particularly the need for reliable transportation. He assured attendees that improvements were being prioritized to facilitate smoother, more efficient operations.
The meeting also addressed the importance of work-life balance, with Mr. Tarus highlighting the necessity of annual leave for county officers. He reminded the team that taking leave is not only healthy but also essential for maintaining a balanced professional and personal life.

The meeting concluded with a call for unity and accountability, as Chief Officer Tarus encouraged all county officers to remain committed to their responsibilities.
Among those in attendance was deputy Director Aurious Menjo, who supported the discussion and expressed their commitment to the shared goals for the county’s progress.
