TEAM APPOINTED TO IMPLEMENT PRIMARY HEALTH CARE NETWORKS PRESENTS FINDINGS

In a significant step towards improving healthcare services, a team appointed by the Chief Officer to collate a report on the Primary Health Care network has completed their one month assignment.

The team, led by Alex Barchok has worked to evaluate the current state of primary healthcare in Uasin Gishu County.

After a month of analysis, the team presented their findings to the County Health Management Team where they elaborated on their observations, assessments, and recommendations based on their research.

Health Services CECM Dr Abraham Serem, upon receiving the team’s findings, expressed appreciation for their dedication and hard work and by recognizing the importance of the Primary Health Care networks, he highlighted the significance of its successful implementation in ensuring quality healthcare services for every resident of the County.

He said that the findings and recommendations, derived from their thorough evaluation, will serve as a valuable resource for the county’s healthcare authorities.

” In collaboration with other stakeholders,we will carefully review the team’s recommendations and devise an action plan for the effective implementation of the Primary Health Care networks,”said Dr Serem.

On their part,Chief Officers Clinical Services Dr Joyce Sang and Dr Paul Wangwe Promotive and Preventive Health noted that the team’s efforts and subsequent presentation signify the County Government’s commitment to enhancing primary healthcare services.

“The findings will play a crucial role in identifying existing gaps and formulating strategies to address them ultimately aiming to improve the overall health and well-being of the residents in the region,”said the Chief Officers.

As the Department of Health Services continues to prioritize healthcare development, the implementation of the Primary Health Care networs is expected to bring about significant positive changes in the healthcare system, fostering accessible and comprehensive primary care services for the community.
