GOVERNOR DR. BII ENCOURAGES PROJECT IDENTIFICATION COMMITTEE MEMBERS TO PRIORITIZE PUBLIC VIEWS

Uasin Gishu Governor H.E Dr. Jonathan Bii, EGH, on Monday, presided over a meeting with 210 Project Identification Commitee Members (PIC) drawn from the 30 wards.

The project identification committee aims to coordinate the identification of ward development projects in their respective wards through public participation.

Governor Dr. Bii while addressing the meeting congratulated the committee members for being elected as ward representatives saying that the public through the committee will continuously be informed and involved in ward projects and other development projects of the county government in the ward.

“I have full confidence in your ability and dedication to this important role, I pledge to support you in every way possible,” he said.

The County Boss urged them to be active and engage wananchi during the public participation exercise of the strategy paper that commences tomorrow.

Deputy Governor Eng. John Barorot urged the Committee members to have equity in all the wards to enhance proper service delivery to the public up to the grassroots level.

“As a government require you to provide professional input to our people across the county, ” said Eng. Barorot.

The County Executive Members who attended the meeting including Elijah Kosgey (Devolution), Micah Rogony (Finance) Dr. Samwel Kotut (Water) pledged their support for the success of the exercise.
