I extend my gratitude to KCB for initiating the new education scholarship program for student athletes, and I find it inspiring that our county has been chosen as the venue for the award process, our fifth city to be.
As a region deeply entrenched in athletics, this move is not only welcome but also timely.
With a huge number of budding athletes looking up to their seniors, the potential within the selected 50 students, especially the four from each of the 12 counties, promises a holistic approach to secondary education.
By guiding these budding athletes and overseeing their educational journey, we are ensuring a promising future for these exceptional individuals.
This initiative is a significant boost for our students, empowering them to carry our country's flag proudly with the right academic qualifications, both locally and on the international stage.
