GOVERNOR BII BLENDING FAITH AND DEVELOPMENT AGENDA AT FULL GOSPEL CHURCHES CONFERENCE

Uasin Gishu Governor Dr Jonathan Bii is reiterating his administration’s commitment to people-centred development and calling for spiritual support from religious leaders during a regional conference of the Full Gospel Churches of Kenya.

Speaking at the gathering, which also marked missionary Marti’s Vilika welfare engagement, Governor Bii used the church platform to highlight ongoing development efforts across the county, blending a message of faith with a progress update on key public services. He urged clergy to continue praying for his leadership, noting that spiritual guidance plays an important role in strengthening governance and service delivery.

The governor emphasized that his administration remains focused on improving residents’ livelihoods through practical interventions, with the health sector taking centre stage in his development agenda. He cited continued investments aimed at expanding access to healthcare and enhancing service quality, pointing to facilities such as the Mama Rachel Ruto Maternity Hospital as evidence of progress in bringing essential services closer to communities.

Accompanying him was Clinical Services Chief Officer Ambrose Tarus, who reiterated the county’s focus on strengthening maternal and child health services. He highlighted ongoing programs designed to promote safer deliveries and improve healthcare outcomes for mothers and newborns across the region.

Governor Bii’s address formed part of a broader development tour across the county, where he has been assessing projects on the ground while engaging with residents, community leaders, and faith-based institutions.

He underscored the importance of partnerships with the church in driving social transformation, urging continued collaboration to support county initiatives and foster unity among residents.
