Agriculture Chief Officer Mr. Elphas Kesio together with Ward Agricultural Officer Mr. Hosea Kirwa, On Thursday Visited Barsombe Twaweza Youth Group Embracing Horticulture Farming in Segero/Barsombe Ward, Moiben Sub-County.

Speaking during the visit Kesio said Governor Jonathan Bii has devised a strategy to assist young individuals by offering support to embark on irrigation and produce horticulture for export.

According to Mr Kesio, plans are underway to establish a cold storage facility, and enhancing value addition.

He commended the youth for their hardwork and encouraged them to expand their activities in order to minimize risks.

He emphasized that achieving success in today’s world requires a focus on quality.

The Barsombe Twaweza group is a youth organization that actively promotes innovative approaches in agriculture. This enables one to personally observe the impressive advancements made by the youth in adopting horticulture farming.
