Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Hon. Evans Kapkea has rallied the county’s sports team to shine at the 12th Kenya Inter-County Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) Games in Kakamega. Representing 21 disciplines, the players were reminded that their mission is not only to win but also to represent the county as exemplary brand ambassadors.
Delivering Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii’s message of best wishes during the flag-off ceremony, DG Kapkea motivated the team to bring home an impressive haul of trophies, affirming the governor’s unwavering confidence in their abilities.
“I have full confidence that this is the best team we’ve ever assembled,” Kapkea declared, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to nurturing talent through initiatives like the Governor’s Cup tournaments held across wards.
County Assembly Sports Chair Gilbert Lagat encouraged the team to aim for a top-three finish, challenging them to stay focused and exceed expectations. Meanwhile, Chief Officer for Youth and Sports Mark Some extended his best wishes, urging the players to give their all as they compete against other counties.
