Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Eng John Barorot on Wednesday hosted Swedish partners from the Region of Ostergotland.

The Deputy Governor was accompanied by County Executive Committee Members Dr Abraham Serem (Health Services) and Dr Sam Kotut (Water).

The partnership between Uasin Gishu, MTRH and the region of Ostergotland on ” Equity in Cancer care-an institutional collaboration’ aims to address the problems associated with unequal cancer care and low institutional capacity in the County.

The team, led by Peter Berggren the Research Coordinator IMP (International Medical Program) said the visit aimed at visiting facilities within the county so as to understand cancer management in the county, understand the gaps and discuss possible areas of engagement for the project
