UASIN GISHU READY FOR COUNTYWIDE PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

The County Government of Uasin Gishu has finalised preparations for public participation forums on the 2027/2028 Annual Development Plan (ADP) and identification of priority ward projects.

County Chief Officer for Finance and Economic Planning Nixon Cheplong today briefed Ward Administrators and Sub-County Ward Administrators ahead of the exercise, emphasising the need for effective coordination and timely mobilisation.

Cheplong assured the administrators that County officials would be at the designated venues on time to ensure the exercise is conducted smoothly and all key issues are adequately captured.

Director of Public Participation Barno Kiptanui emphasised the importance of close coordination between the technical teams, Ward Administrators and Sub-County officials to ensure a well-organised and successful exercise across all the participating wards.

The exercise will cover 15 wards on 19th August and the remaining 15 wards on 20th August 2026, providing a platform to gather views that will inform the County’s development priorities for the coming financial year.

The County Government remains committed to strengthening citizen participation in planning and ensuring development priorities are informed by the needs of local communities.
