UASIN GISHU HEALTH MANAGEMENT TOURS MUHORONI HUB AND KANDEGE SPOKE TO CHECK ON PRIMARY CARE NETWORKS FUNCTIONALITY

The County Government of Uasin Gishu on Thursday paid a visit to Muhoroni hub and Kandege spoke in Kisumu County to examine the functionality of the primary care networks system and its connection to referral facilities.

Speaking during the inspection, Health Services County Executive Committee Member Dr. Abraham Serem expressed deep admiration for the community health promoters’ system of referrals.

He highlighted a notable observation that every household had personnel in charge, ensuring that any health issues could be managed efficiently at the community level therefore the approach greatly aids in the timely management of morbidity cases.

Chief Officers Dr. Paul Wangwe (Promotive and Preventive Health) and Dr. Joyce Sang (Clinical Services) said that Governor Bii’s aim to improve the primary healthcare system is key.

“With effective primary care networks and strong links to referral facilities, the community can receive the necessary healthcare support and promote overall well-being,” said the Chief Officers.

This visit by the County Government highlights the commitment to enhancing healthcare services and addressing health challenges at the grassroots level.

By putting more effort and support into strategy, Uasin Gishu is taking an important step towards achieving comprehensive and accessible healthcare for its residents.
