The County Government of Uasin Gishu, through the Department of Health Services, inaugurated the Chepkongi Dispensary in Simat/Kapseret Ward on Thursday, marking a significant stride in healthcare services for the residents.
This new facility highlights Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii’s commitment to ensuring all citizens have access to quality and timely medical care.
During the opening ceremony, Chief Officer for Promotive and Preventive Health, Dr. Paul Wangwe, emphasized the dispensary’s importance for the Chepkongi community, which previously relied on Kapteldon Sub-County Hospital for medical services.
“This dispensary will transform healthcare access for our residents, reinforcing our administration’s commitment to improving healthcare across the county,” stated Dr. Wangwe.
Area Member of County Assembly, Hon. Moses Kebenei, praised the development and expressed optimism regarding the facility’s potential to address various healthcare needs within the community. “This facility will greatly strengthen our healthcare delivery, but it’s essential for the community to embrace the foundational steps for its operation,” he added.
