County Secretary, Mr. Edwin Bett, officially brought the curtains down on an extensive training program for directors, deputy directors, and assistant directors.

Mr. Bett emphasized the dynamic nature of public service, where policies evolve, trends shift, and procedures demand periodic reviews.

He underlined the pivotal role of training in keeping county officials abreast of these changes.

The County Secretary reiterated that training is important in public service and the objective is to arm County Government officials with the skills essential for effective supervision and a thorough understanding of human resource policies.

This, he asserted was crucial for delivering optimal services to the people of Uasin Gishu.

“To deliver services as expected, it’s important for them to acquaint themselves with applicable human resource policies and procedures,” he adds.

The directors, through the training, delved into project management, drawing from the reach well of experience shared by the public service board.

The directors were prepared to navigate the complexities of their daily responsibilities.

Dr. Edwin Tarno took them through a comprehensive presentation that focused on aligning the efforts of the directors with the Governor’s manifesto and national development priorities.

Dr. Tarno also took them through performance management, implementing the plan and driving results.

County Executive Committee Member for Public Service Management Elijah Kosgey, Chief Officer Ambrose Tarus and Chief of Staff Nicholas Chepkwony were present during the training.
