STAKEHOLDERS REVIEW UASIN GISHU WASTE MANAGEMENT POLICY 2024

Amid rapid urbanization and industrial growth, stakeholders have come together to review the Uasin Gishu County Waste Management Policy 2024 a comprehensive strategic framework aimed at addressing the county’s waste management challenges.

The collaborative initiative, led by the Department of Environment, Solid Waste Management sector under the coordination of Divina Salim, seeks to promote a safe and healthy environment through sustainable waste management practices. It aligns with Nguzo No. 7, which emphasizes the importance of a well-conserved and clean environment for the well-being of all.

The ongoing three-day workshop, running from July 22nd to 24th, provides a platform for participants to exchange ideas and refine the policy, with plans for prompt implementation to achieve a cleaner city.

These collective efforts are expected to make Eldoret City cleaner and more attractive to investors, while fostering a safe, healthy environment for both businesses and residents.
