Road infrastructure has emerged as the leading priority among residents as the County Government of Uasin Gishu concluded public participation for the proposed Annual Development Plan (ADP) for the 2027/2028 Financial Year across the 15 wards.
Across the forums, residents prioritized road improvements through grading, gravelling, and installing culverts to enhance connectivity and ease movement within their communities.

Other priorities included health, land banking, development and completion of ECDE centres, street lighting, solarisation and broader energy interventions aimed at enhancing service delivery, security, education and access to essential services.







The County Government concluded the exercise with the final forums held across the respective wards, with the Segero/Barsombe session taking place at Kiborokwo Ward Office. The forum was led by Chief Officer for Economic Planning Nixon Cheplong alongside Segero/Barsombe Ward Administrator Elkana Chumo, with MCA representative Evans Limo also in attendance.
Residents in Segero/Barsombe reiterated the need for improved road infrastructure and reliable water supply, while calling for economic empowerment initiatives to support livelihoods and create opportunities within the community.











The successful conclusion of the exercise across Kamagut, Tembelio, Soy, Kipsomba, Moisbridge, Ngeria, Moiben, Segero/Barsombe, Kapkures, Ziwa, Huruma, Ng’enyilel, Kapsaos, Langas and Sergoit marks an important milestone in the County’s planning process.
The priorities raised by residents through the 15 ward forums will inform the preparation of the 2027/2028 Annual Development Plan, ensuring that proposed investments are aligned with the needs and aspirations of communities across the County.
