RESIDENTS APPLAUD GOVERNOR BII FOR ROAD MAINTENANCE AND COMPLETION OF A NEW BOX CULVERT

Residents of Seet, Ngara Falls and Chepyakwai areas in Ngeria Ward, Kapseret Sub-County had high praises for the Uasin Gishu County Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii on Monday, after the successful completion of a Box Culvert and several road maintenance projects.

Led by David Lagat and Dominic Tanui, the residents in their numbers said they were truly touched by the commitment of Governor Bii and his deliberate actions that have led to the completion of the projects, which will have a lasting and positive impact not only on the economy but also the quality of life of the residents.

“Today we are very happy. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Governor Jonathan Bii for his incredible intervention. Accessing important services was a big challenge during heavy rainfall; this area could flood, and our children suffered a lot,” Lagat noted.

They further said that during heavy rainfall, water flooded along the dangerous temporary bridge, which was installed by white settlers many years ago. The floods also destroyed crops on farms and property in nearby homes.

Roads Chief Officer Geoffrey Tanui says they are continuing with such projects across the county and that they are committed to hastening the completion of all ongoing Box Culverts to enhance road connectivity and boost agriculture.
