The County Executive Committee Member for the Department of Water, Irrigation, and Sanitation Dr. Sam Kotut on Thursday held a meeting with water engineers for effective water project planning.
Dr. Kotut challenged the team to put a great emphasis on quality service delivery in the execution of water projects across the county.
“Quality service delivery is essential to provide value for money and meet the needs of the community effectively,” said the CECM.
He further added that the implementation of dams and pans for irrigation can indeed enhance food security and contribute to the economic well-being of the community, a strategic move for sustainable development.


Chief Officer Water Elijah Koech noted the need to prioritize excellence in project execution which he said is a commendable approach.
Present were Director Water Stephen Barno, Director of Administration and Planning Erastus Kerich, Deputy Director Henry Langat, and the water engineers.
