The County Government of Uasin Gishu, under the leadership of Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii, continues to demonstrate its commitment to achieving quality healthcare for all residents across the county.
In line with this commitment, the County Executive Committee Member for Health Services, Janet Kurgat, on Monday conducted a comprehensive support supervision exercise at Kesses Sub-County Hospital before proceeding to inspect Kesses Level IV Hospital. The visit reaffirmed the county government’s focus on delivering quality, efficient, and patient-centered healthcare services.

During the visits, Kurgat engaged facility management teams and frontline healthcare workers to assess service delivery, infrastructure, and staff welfare. The supervision exercise aimed to identify operational gaps, strengthen teamwork, and ensure that patients receive timely, high-quality care across all departments.

Addressing staff during the inspection, the Health CEC called on healthcare workers to continuously enhance their professional proficiency as they discharge their duties. She emphasized strict adherence to clinical guidelines, ethical standards, and compassionate care, noting that professionalism and competence remain critical in improving patient outcomes and building public confidence in public health facilities.
Clinical Services Chief Officer Ambrose Tarus noted that the visit underscored the county’s continued support in addressing challenges raised by healthcare workers. He added that the department is intensifying oversight and mentorship across health facilities to strengthen service delivery and elevate healthcare standards in Kesses Sub-County.
Present was Director of Medical Services Dr Evans Kiprotich.
