The ongoing construction of the Uasin Gishu Modern Library, Youth and Innovation Centre is gathering pace, with the project recording impressive progress during a recent site visit.
The site visit brought together Director of Administration Samwel Kiptoo, Assistant Directors Simon Kogo and Irene Saina, alongside Nicholas Tirop, the project architect, and representatives of SHIV Construction and the Quantity Surveyor’s team.








The team commended the progress achieved so far, noting that the pace of work remains encouraging and should be sustained to ensure the project is delivered within the set timeline.
Director of Administration Samwel Kiptoo assured the project team of the County Government’s continued support, urging the contractor and technical teams to maintain the momentum as construction enters the next phase.
“We are impressed by the progress so far. Let us continue with this pace and count on our support moving forward. We need to move with speed and work towards the agreed timelines,” the team noted.
The officials further emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of safety and coordination at the site, calling on all teams to remain vigilant and take necessary measures to avoid incidents during construction.
The Modern Library, Youth and Innovation Centre is expected to provide a modern space that supports learning, innovation, youth development and access to information, further contributing to the County Government’s efforts to strengthen public infrastructure and opportunities for residents.
The County Government reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the contractor and technical teams to ensure the project progresses smoothly, safely and within the stipulated timelines.
