MEIBEKI WATER PROJECT PUBLIC AWARENESS FORUM

County Chief Officer for Water, Irrigation and Sanitation, Elijah Koech has reaffirmed Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii’s commitment to connecting households with piped water.

This he said on Thursday as he was accompanied by Karuna/Meibeki Member of County Assembly Hon. James Serem during a public awareness about the upcoming Meibeki Water Project.

The project which entails the construction of a gravity main pipeline of 6.6 kilometres to a tank in Kapsiliot is expected to solve the perennial water shortages in the area.

According to Mr Koech, the project will serve over 1250 households in the area including public facilities.

The Project Chairperson Mr Ruto William on behalf of the residents appreciated Governor Bii’s administration for the project adding that it will help improve their livelihoods.
