The ongoing construction of an Asphalt Concrete mixing plant in Eldoret City by the Governor Dr Jonathan Bii administration is now 90 per cent complete.
According to Governor Bii, the plant will play a major role in helping the devolved unit to have more durable roads and reduce the cost of road maintenance.
The County Executive Committee Member for Roads, Transport and Public Works, Abraham Serem, said this step will automatically position Uasin Gishu as a model for benchmarking for neighbouring counties in the larger Western part of Kenya.

He added that it will also boost the economy, enhance agricultural activities, and enable residents to access essential services more easily through an improved road network.
