Residents are being urged to take advantage of an opportunity to access quality healthcare as the County Government, in partnership with Simba Educational Ministries, prepares to host a comprehensive Free Medical Camp one of the highlights of the ministry’s 10th Anniversary celebrations.
The initiative, aimed at delivering a wide range of essential health services directly to the community, was officially announced by the County Executive Committee Member for Health Services, Joseph Lagat, who emphasized the transformative impact of such outreach programs.
“We are bringing healthcare closer to the people,” said Lagat while hosting representatives from Simba Educational Ministries. “This camp is not just about treatment—it’s about empowering our communities through preventive care, early diagnosis, and vital health education.”

The upcoming camp will provide a broad range of services, including:
•General and pediatric consultations
•Cancer screening
•Mental health support and counseling
•Chronic disease screening (e.g., diabetes)
•Nutrition assessment
•Eye and dental clinics
•Physiotherapy services
•Gynecology clinic
•Blood donation drive
•SHA (Social Health Authority) registration
Lagat also underscored the importance of SHA registration, urging the public to take advantage of the opportunity to sign up during the camp—enabling easier access to continuous healthcare services in the future.
“Health is wealth, and prevention is better than cure. I encourage everyone to attend this medical camp not only for treatment but also to take proactive steps in managing their health,” he added.
The camp is expected to attract hundreds of residents seeking free, high-quality medical services brought right to their doorstep.
As Simba Educational Ministries marks a decade of transformative work in education and community outreach, the medical camp stands as a powerful symbol of its mission—to educate the mind and heal the body.
