GOVERNOR JONATHAN BII’S ACCOMPLISHMENTS UNDER PSM, ADMINISTRATION AND DEVOLVED UNITS

Governor Jonathan Bii’s administration has always been keen on its commitment to providing efficient and effective services to both the County staff and Uasin Gishu residents.

The dedication is evident as per the one-year achievements in office. The Department of Public Service Management, Administration, and Devolved Units on Monday convened a meeting to reflect on the department’s remarkable achievements over the past one year.

County Executive Committee Member, Elijah Kosgey highlighted a series of accomplishments that has marked their journey.

“We have enhanced the County’s Image through Branding, recognizing the power of perception of Uasin Gishu County’s name that has begun to resonate with pride, and its identity becomes a symbol of excellence, ” said Kosgey.

“Employment on a permanent basis of 1270 ECDE Teachers, Education is a cornerstone of development, and Governor Bii’s administration ensures that Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) receives the attention it deserves, new teachers were recruited to nurture young minds, securing the County’s future” added Kosgey

Chief Officer for Public Service Management Ambrose Tarus commended on the Implementation of Performance Contract Training noting that accountability is paramount.

The administration introduced performance contracts, ensuring that every member of the county staff has clear expectations and goals.

The county has also established a counselling section for its staff to have greater self-acceptance and self-esteem and recognition of distorted thinking.

Enhancing Training and Induction for new Employees is essential for growth. Robust training and induction programs ensure that fresh recruits are well-prepared to contribute effectively from day one.

Chief Officer for Administration and Devolved Units Mark Some noted that renovations of the County’s Infrastructure and physical landscape witnessed a transformation.

“The County headquarters and public facilities were renovated and improved, making them safer and more accessible for all, said Some.

Governor Jonathan Bii’s administration is dedicated to efficient service delivery and the betterment of the lives of both staff and residents which has set a high standard for governance, one that would be remembered and appreciated for years to come.
