GOVERNOR DR. JONATHAN BII STRENGTHENS HEALTHCARE WITH NEW CBC MACHINE DONATION FROM EQUATOR FLOWERS

In an effort to bolster healthcare services in the County, H.E Dr. Jonathan Bii’s administration has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships and improving timely diagnostic services for its residents.

This dedication was achieved on Thursday when the Department of Health Services received a state-of-the-art Complete Blood Count (CBC) machine valued at Ksh. 800,000 from Equator Flowers.

While receiving the equipment at Kimumu Health Centre, Health Services County Executive Committee Member Dr. Abraham Serem highlighted the significant impact the CBC machine will have on diagnostic capabilities at the centre, expressing optimism that the new equipment would enhance blood testing, enabling early detection of blood disorders and ultimately reducing healthcare costs for patients.

“Diagnostic service is key in determining the accurate cause of illness and therefore, the donation will go a long way in ensuring proper healthcare,” said Dr. Serem.

Clinical Services Chief Officer Dr. Joyce Sang noted that with the recent upgrades on the facility coupled with adequate staffing plan, Kimumu Health Centre is poised to resume 24-hour services—further improving access to healthcare for local residents.

Nehemiah Kangogo, General Manager of Equator Flowers expressed enthusiasm about the donation, stating, “This equipment will benefit many lives in the community.”
