GOVERNOR DR. BII DELIVERS ON INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS

The robust road infrastructure in Uasin Gishu County has been termed by many residents and visitors as a significant indicator of the county’s readiness for business, an attraction to investors at a time Eldoret town is awaiting to be elevated to be a City.

Roads, Transport and Public Works Director Eng. Julius Ronoh says the department has delivered on major infrastructure projects on time, on budget and within prescribed specifications due to an effective project management strategy in one year and two months.

One of the major bridges completed and already in use is the Koisagat -Kapsabul bridge in Segero Barsombe ward in Soy Sub County.

“We surpassed our target of grading 800 kilometres of roads last year and completed constructing five bridges and Box Culverts which have enabled consistent and reliable transportation, “Eng. Ronoh stated.

While commenting on the progress of the ongoing construction of the Kosachei -Chemoru bridge, Joseph Serem Chepkirwok, an elder from Tapsagoi ward, Turbo Sub County said: “This work signifies an effective governance by Governor Dr.Jonathan Bii. The completion of the bridge enhance productivity, enable our people to access markets and get better prices for their produce and access essential services.​
