GOVERNOR BII’S HEALTH AGENDA GAINING MOMENTUM

County Chief Officer for Clinical Services Ambrose Tarus inspected the Uasin Gishu Diagnostic Center, as the county administration focuses on further expansion of healthcare service delivery.

During the inspection, Tarus assessed the progress of construction works and held discussions with the contractor on measures to accelerate completion timelines. The visit forms part of the county’s broader strategy to enhance access to specialized medical services within the region.

Mr Tarus credited the facility’s advancement to the health transformation agenda spearheaded by Jonathan Bii, describing the Diagnostic Center as one of the flagship projects under the current administration.

He said the county government has made substantial investments in modern laboratory and imaging equipment aimed at reducing patient referrals to facilities outside the county.

“This facility reflects the governor’s commitment to accessible and affordable healthcare for our people,” Tarus said.

Once operational, the center is expected to serve residents of Eldoret and neighboring sub-counties, further positioning the area as a growing medical hub.

CO Tarus added that the county continues to invest in staff capacity building and equipment upgrades, in line with the administration’s vision of delivering efficient, reliable and patient-centered healthcare services across Uasin Gishu County.
