GOVERNOR BII LEADS UASIN GISHU IN CELEBRATING WORLD CLEAN UP DAY

Uasin Gishu Governor His Excellency Dr. Jonathan Bii led the County in marking World Clean Up Day themed ‘Make Room for Life, #Towards Zero Waste!

This significant global exercise, held annually on September 20th, serves as a call to action for individuals and communities worldwide to tackle the waste crisis through collective action.

Accompanied by County Assembly officials, volunteers, local organizations and youth groups, Governor Dr. Bii participated in various clean-up activities throughout Eldoret City, demonstrating the county’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

Governor Bii emphasized the important role that environmental conservation and waste management play in ensuring a sustainable future.

“It is our collective responsibility to take care of our environment and ensure that we have a clean and sustainable planet for future generations,” he declared.

The County Boss said that the event was not only about cleaning up but also about raising awareness, promoting community engagement, and inspiring positive changes in how individuals treat their environment.

Governor Bii expressed heartfelt gratitude to all volunteers who participated in the event. He encouraged them to continue responsible waste management practices in their daily lives and to act as stewards of the environment.

“Let us renew our sense of purpose and determination to preserve our environment,” he urged.
