County Executive for Finance, Micah Rogony, Friday led a meeting to discuss the planning and design of the County’s Huduma Centre that will be located at the Teachers Advisory Centre (TAC) in Eldoret.
The meeting included members from the finance department and the department of trade to strategize on how the Huduma Centre will be organized and structured to effectively serve the people of Uasin Gishu County.
County Secretary Mr. Edwin Bett, highlighted the County’s commitment to providing sufficient services to the residents of Uasin Gishu.
Mr Bett emphasized the importance of considering business process engineering to streamline operations and improve efficiency within the Huduma Center.
Chief Officer for Finance, Eliud Chemaget, was also present at the meeting and acknowledged that the facility would minimize unnecessary interactions, focusing on direct interaction with the individual concerned.
Director of Revenue, CPA Jonna Lamai, in a sentiment echoed by his counterpart for Licensing, David Kebenei, emphasized the importance of service delivery with a customer-centric approach.
CPA Lamai emphasized that the services provided should align with the needs and concerns of the residents.
The planned Huduma Centre will cater to various services such as single business licensing, permits issued under public health, land rates, development control, fire sector, weighs and measures, Saccos management, parking and audit.
The services provided at the facility will be effectively linked to the county’s branding efforts to establish a unified and recognizable identity.
