ELDORET HUDUMA CENTRE MARKS 9TH ANNIVERSARY

Uasin Gishu County Secretary, Edwin Bett, on Friday, graced the 9th Anniversary Celebration for Huduma Centre in Eldoret town.

Mr Bett was representing Governor Jonathan Bii in an event held at the Teachers Advisory Centre.

In his address, the County Secretary described Huduma Centre as a revolutionary concept.

He noted that before Huduma Centres, locals were going through hard times looking for crucial services.

“This concept has transformed service delivery and it is in line with the constitution that requires responsive and quality services to the citizens,” Bett said.

“The services are now more accessible, customers are being served at their convenience and locals are always satisfied. I am happy that service delivery has been maintained,” he added.

CS Bett was among the first staff when the Eldoret Huduma Centre was established in 2014.

With the progress that the centre has made, he says the county is now considering partnering with them in a bid to take services even closer to the people at the Sub County level.

Similar sentiments were shared by Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Dr. Eddyson Nyale.

“We’re in agreement that we wish to extend Huduma centre to sub-county and we’re in discussion. In the near future, we will need to ask for more staff for the sub-county level services,” Dr Nyale said.
