EDUCATION CECM GRACES NEHEMA INSTITUTE’S 8TH GRADUATION CEREMONY

County Executive Committee Member for Education Dr. Janeth Kosgei on Thursday graced the 8th Graduation of Nehema Institute of Science and Technology.

Speaking during the graduation held at KENMOSA Gardens, the CECM reiterated that Governor Jonathan Bii’s administration will continue with the empowerment and equipping youths with relevant skills needed in the job market.

Dr. Kosgei said, “Governor Bii is committed through the Nguzo Kumi blueprint in supporting and creating opportunities to improve the economic status of the young people in the county of Uasin Gishu.”

She cited various vocational training across the county as facilities that seek to empower the youth.

In addition, the CECM said the County Government will continue supporting needy students through the bursary issuance.

“In this financial year, we supported the students with bursaries worth Ksh119.5 million that went towards supporting 18,071 needy students from across the county.”

Kosgei further challenged the graduands to use the skills gained to generate income.

Moreover, she encouraged parents to invest in education stating that it was the only tool that can be used to transform and develop society. She emphasized soft skills as the game changer in Job market and encourage graduants to enhance creativity ,team work and networking
