EDUCATION CECM GRACES LAUNCH OF BEAM CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION

Education CECM Dr. Janeth Kosgey on Wednesday graced the launch of Beam Children’s Foundation in Kipkaren, Turbo Sub County, Ngenyilel Ward.

The Foundation seeks to boost people’s health and financial well-being and also offers education programs for children from early years to higher levels.

It further advocates for children’s rights as well as mentorship programs.

Speaking during the event, the CECM termed the initiative as very transformative and powerful.

He appreciated Beam Foundation’s Board chair Mr. David Tarus and the Founder Colleen together with her family from the USA for their generosity and for giving a second chance to the heartbroken children in the community, the vulnerable, orphans and those without any hope.

“The Beam Children’s Foundation addresses the SDGs 1-5 on equitable access to quality education, inclusivity and good health of our people,” said Dr. Kosgei.

“The County government supports such initiatives that transform children’s lives in education and youth employment to eliminate poverty and improve the socio-economic development of our community, County and our Nation,” she added.

The CECM further noted that the initiative has created Jobs for locals, increased access to education and empowered young minds with the right skills alongside supporting youths in their career development.

“As a county of Uasin Gishu, we support and embrace good initiatives like this and embrace good networking with private sectors for the betterment of our people,” she noted.

In addition, the Education County Executive encouraged beneficiaries of the foundation to choose their steps wisely in order to make use of the golden opportunity they have been given as a second chance in life.

Area MCA Benjamin Natui and Gilbert Chepkonga (Olare/Ainabkoi) were present.

They appreciate the founders of the initiative and promise to support it
