DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES ENGAGES ASSEMBLY HEALTH COMMITTEE TO ENHANCE SERVICE DELIVERY

The County Government of Uasin Gishu under the leadership of Governor Jonathan Bii is working closely with the County Assembly in recognizing the importance of effective project management in the health sector, thus ensuring efficient utilization of resources in the county’s healthcare sector.

The collaboration aims to improve the delivery of healthcare services to the residents by fostering crucial aspects of ensuring the successful implementation of healthcare projects.

Speaking during the meeting, Health Services Executive Dr Sam Kotut emphasized the need for efficient utilization of resources in the healthcare sector by implementing effective project management practices.

“Our aim is to minimize wastage and ensure that resources are allocated appropriately to meet the healthcare needs of the residents,” says Dr Kotut.

On her part, Health Committee Chairperson Hon Rebecca Magut noted that the County Executive and the Assembly are working together to develop strategies and policies that will enhance project management in the health sector that includes training and capacity-building programs for healthcare professionals involved in project implementation.

Leader of Majority, Julius Sang, emphasized the importance of prioritizing health as a fundamental aspect of the community’s well-being with the common goal of improving the livelihoods of residents by ensuring efficient and effective healthcare services.

Chief Officer for Promotive and Preventive Health, Dr Joyce Sang, pledged the departmental commitment of working together with the Assembly to ensure that timely service delivery is achieved as outlined in Governor Bii’s manifesto.
