COUNTY TO PARTNER WITH MOI UNIVERSITY ON WELL MOTHER WELL BABY INITIATIVE

In an effort to enhance maternal and child health and oral hygiene, the County Government of Uasin Gishu on Monday hosted officials from Moi University School of Dentistry to explore a partnership focusing on the Well Mother Well Baby initiative.

The initiative aims to bolster health outcomes for mothers and children by providing training on oral hygiene and nutrition.

Chief Officers Dr Paul Wangwe (Promotive and Preventive Health) and Dr Joyce Sang (Clinical Services) emphasized the importance of preventive measures and the need to promote the overall health of children below five years within the community.

They highlighted the need to empower mothers and caregivers with essential knowledge and skills in oral hygiene practices and nutrition therefore the proactive approach seeks to improve health outcomes, and reduce dental and nutritional-related issues.
