Uasin Gishu verily identifies itself as a beacon of sports and talent development, County Executive for Sports Eng. Lucy Ng’endo has said.

The leadership of Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii appreciates that Uasin Gishu relishes unparalleled might in athletics.

Speaking while on a visit to Eldoret’s 64 Stadium, the County Minister said the County Government puts emphasis on building infrastructure like stadia.

The CECM and her Chief Officer, Mark Some led officers from the State Department for Sports, visiting to assess the works at the stadium.

The Ministry is working on a partnership with the County Government of Uasin Gishu on co-financing the completion of Eldoret’s 64 Stadium.

Sports Assistant Director Viola Korir was among the county officers who accompanied the County executive.
