COUNTY MILK COOLERS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE AND READY FOR DELIVERY-KIPTANUI

On the second day of evaluating County’s preparedness towards receiving a batch of milk coolers from the National Government, a team led by Livestock Director Mr. Abraham Kiptanui together with representatives from the State Department of Livestock led by Joan Otiang, visited a total of 13 cooler sites in Turbo, Soy, Kapseret, Ainabkoi, and Moiben Sub-Counties.

The team expressed their satisfaction for the County’s efforts, commending the impressive construction of the milk cooling structures.

With the team’s full endorsement of the coolers, it is evident that the County Government’s investment in the dairy industry has yielded positive results.

The team further commended Governor Jonathan Bii’s administration for its preparedness and expressed confidence in its ability to handle the upcoming cooler delivery.

According to Mr Kiptanui, the visit served as a positive reinforcement of the County’s commitment to the dairy industry and its efforts to enhance milk storage capabilities.

“As the delivery of the coolers draws near, it is expected that this infrastructure development will have a significant impact on the local dairy sector.”

“Milk producers in the region will now have access to better storage facilities thus ensuring the preservation of milk quality and reducing post-harvest losses,” said Kiptanui.

The County Government of Uasin Gishu is dedicated to supporting the livelihoods of its dairy farmers and boosting the agricultural sector.
