COUNTY, KMPDC COMMENCE THE INSPECTION AND UPGRADING OF HEALTH FACILITIES

The County Government of Uasin Gishu in collaboration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC), has embarked on a significant inspection and upgrading of health facilities within the County.

This noble initiative aims to improve healthcare services and ensure easy access to residents in need therefore marking a crucial step towards enhancing the quality of healthcare provision in Uasin Gishu.

Speaking during a courtesy call in her office, Clinical Services Chief Officer Dr. Joyce Sang highlighted the significance of this upgrade, emphasizing that by improving the health facilities, the County can better meet the needs of the residents.

” The key objective is to ensure that healthcare services are readily accessible to the people of Uasin Gishu,” said Dr. Sang.

The Chief Officer urged them to identify at least one level 5 health facility that requires upgrading and will act as a County Referral Hospital therefore, adequately catering to the needs of the residents they serve.

“Through this partnership with the KMPDC, Governor Jonathan Bii’s administration is dedicated to enhancing the healthcare infrastructure and services and by upgrading these health facilities, residents will benefit from improved medical care and reduced barriers to accessing essential services,” added Dr Sang.

The inspection and upgrading of health facilities marks a significant milestone in Uasin Gishu’s journey towards strengthened healthcare provisions for a healthier and more vibrant community.
