COUNTY HOSTS KMPDC OFFICIALS ON THE UPCOMING INSPECTION OF FACILITIES

The County Department of Health Services on Wednesday hosted officials from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) ahead of inspection of the health facilities in Uasin GishuCounty.

The purpose of the inspection is to assess the current state of health facilities within the County for upgrading ones that meet the requirements according to levels.

Clinical Services Chief Officer Dr Joyce Sang emphasized the importance of upgrading health facilities to the required levels to provide quality healthcare services to the residents of the County.

It also serves as an opportunity for collaboration between the County and the council to address any existing challenges and find suitable solutions to enhance the quality of healthcare services provided,” said Dr Sang.

Dr Sang said that the inspection exercise is a crucial step towards achieving the goal of providing accessible and high-quality healthcare services to the residents.

The Department of Health Services remains committed to continuously improving the health facilities and ensuring that all residents have access to reliable and efficient healthcare services.

During a recently conducted rapid results initiative, 56 facilities were inspected as per their Staffing, infrastructure, health care services and infection prevention control issues.
