COUNTY GOVERNMENT STRENGTHENING TRADERS’ CAPACITY THROUGH PARTNERSHIP TRAINING

The County Department of Trade, Investment, Industrialization and Tourism, in partnership with SNV through the Leading (Investing in Young Businesses in Africa (IYBA) SEED programme and Association of Startup and SMEs Enablers of Kenya (ASSEK), continues to empower traders, the Jua Kali sector and county officials through capacity-building and business training initiatives.

Speaking on behalf of the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Trade and the department’s leadership, Deputy Director Amos Kimaiyo welcomed all participants and partner organizations and commended their commitment to strengthening the county’s business community.

He encouraged traders to put into practice the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the training, noting that applying the lessons learned would enhance business growth, improve market management, and contribute to the county’s economic development.

The training forms part of the department’s ongoing efforts to build traders’ capacity and create a vibrant, resilient, and competitive business environment through strategic partnerships.
