COUNTY ENHANCES SUPPORT SUPERVISION IN HEALTH FACILITIES

The County Government of Uasin Gishu is keen on ensuring that healthcare services are accessible and efficient for the well-being of its residents therefore determined to make a difference in the lives of its people.

On Thursday, Chief Officer for Promotive and Preventive Health, Dr. Joyce Sang, embarked on a support supervision exercise to assess the state of healthcare facilities in Moiben and Soy Sub-Counties to identify the areas that require improvement and implementation measures to ensure efficient service delivery.

Speaking during the exercise, Dr. Sang noted that investing in preventative and promotive health is crucial in reducing the burden on hospitals and clinics thus urging the service providers to prioritize healthcare initiatives such as immunization, health education and family planning.

We should educate our community about preventive healthcare measures regularly when you are attending to them because they need us to offer the best services to them,” says Dr. Sang.

She pledged her commitment to improving healthcare services in the County by adopting strategies and prioritising accessible and effective medical services as outlined in Governor Jonathan Bii’s Nguzo Kumi blueprint.

The Department of Health Services has laid down strategic interventions and collaborations to ensure that the residents have access to the medical services they deserved, bringing hope and prosperity to the region.

Chepkoilel, Sasitwa, Merewet, Ngoisa, Twiga, Kipsigak, Lemoru Trinity, Ziwa and Kuinet health facilities are among the facilities supervised.
