COUNTY CONTINUES TO UPLIFT FARMERS WITH ONGOING COMMITMENT TO AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT

In a bid to support and uplift local farmers, The County Government of Uasin Gishu
continues to strengthen its efforts towards agricultural development.

On Friday, Chief Officer for Agriculture, Elphas Kesio together with his water counterpart Elijah Koech visited the Tuiyotich Farmers Cooperative Society cereal store to inspect and ensure the efficient distribution of last-mile fertilizers to farmers in the region.

“By monitoring the distribution of fertilizers and ensuring that resources reach farmers promptly. Governor Dr Jonathan Bii’s administration demonstrates dedication to the agricultural sector,” said Kesio

Mr Koech highlighted the importance of Governor Bii’s administration in providing essential resources to households, with a specific focus on water access therefore improving the livelihoods of farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices in the region.

The duo noted that through these efforts, the County aims to enhance food security, and increase agricultural productivity, ultimately boosting the economic well-being of farmers thus promoting sustainable agricultural development.
